The Fujifilm instax mini 11 is better - Review

Fujifilm Instax mini 11, better than it's predecessors in the Instax mini series of products. Why do I say that? A blush pink Instax mini 11 was made available to us to review. See our reasons below.

We are total fans of the Fujifilm Instax series of products. Ever since we got the Instax mini 9 as gift a few years ago, we have been besotted with the instant gratification of a photo print in the hand. There's also nothing better than gifting an instant photo on the spot. Whoever needed an id photo for school or sports? Instantly sorted with an Instax option.

5 REASONS WHY WE LOVE FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI 11

(What's better compared to the predecessors?)

- The "automatic exposure" function works awesome. No more trying to figure out what type of light settings we should select. When the shutter button is pressed, the camera automatically senses the level of ambient light, and optimises the shutter speed and flash output.

- The "selfie" mode that is activated by pulling out the front end of the lens, is great for selfies as well as close-ups. This is not available on the previous versions.

- The shape is a bit more rounder, softer, and lighter to carry around. The mini 11 are available in five pale tone colours, namely Blush Pink, Sky Blue, Charcoal Gray, Ice White and Lilac Purple. Definitely an ultra-cool fashion accessory to have.

- The Instax mini 11 comes with 3 accessories; a glow-in-the-dark button and a jewel button which can be placed on top of the shutter button, and a colour coded strap which fits around the wrist.

- Two AA-size alkaline batteries (included) provide enough battery life for 100 exposures. The mini 11 is just as quick to print out your photos, with an instax mini print ready in about 90 seconds after the shutter button is pressed.

Things we don't like about the Instax mini 11

- The two buttons mentioned above does not stick well enough. We had to search for it a couple of times after it fell off while busy taking instax photos. It looks super cool, but a better way of keeping it stuck to the instax mini camera is needed.

- We still got blow-outs and dark prints, although it's supposed to be automatic exposure optimisation. That's a waste of precious prints.

Score: 4/5

We love this gadget!

We got an Instax mini 11 with two Instax print packets for a week to be able to review it. The Instax mini 11 was collected again. 😭
