AgeWell review - I am aging better than before!

AgeWell skin care range in box
AgeWell skincare range from Nimue

For the past two months I have been using AgeWell exclusively, and I am so happy with the results. The before and after picture is below, and there is a big difference.

AgeWell is the retail arm of Nimue Skin Technology which launched in Foschini stores last year. This skincare range does not target skin type, but rather the specific life stage you are in. Each range being specific to you in your 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. AgeWell not only offers rejuvenation (treating existing and visible problems) but prejuvenation (using products before signs of ageing appear).
AgeWell is a global first-to-market concept, and the products contain industry-leading ingredients that are free from SLES, parabens, alcohol and silicones.

It's a Friday

Karen Bitmoji: Is it Friday yet?
On a Thursday
It's basically Friday today. Although on the calendar it says Thursday. It's Easter weekend and we are looking forward to it. Even Miss Fine said she couldn't wait. She has been picked up at school early by her dad.

I am out of the office in a few hours, and the weekend is here.

Of course we would have loved to go away. Travel anywhere would have been nice.

In the meantime we will be living our best lives at home, chilling and coach-surfing. My to-do list is as short as possible, but here goes:

Plans for an Easter Weekend at home

- Chill with the family.

- Do an Easter egg hunt. (Although Miss Fine is 10, she still hinted that she would love to do one. We bought some provisions at CNA last week)

- Braai with the family.

- Watch some series, and some movies lined up. We are into If I hadn't met you and Russian Doll at the moment.

- Attend Paasfest tomorrow.

- Fix Miss Fine's blazer for school. She has Choir lined up for next week.

- Read The Good Professional by Don Turner, before BookTasters fire me for taking so long to read the books. I have a really good feeling about this one.

- Help Miss Fine with preparations for a speech.

- Make some Easter craft with Miss Fine. She has a How To project for school and decided on an Easter thingy to make. I wish the second season of The Derry Girls would become available soon.

- I have to do two reviews on the blog. I am really impressed with the AgeWell skincare range. After a month I can see a remarkable difference. The Baby Born Soft Touch also needs a write-up. She is super cute and cuddly! (They are both #gifts)

- Do absolutely nothing!

What are your plans for the long weekend?

What are you watching?

New Fortnite Battle Royale figurines - Prima Toys

Fortnite Battle Royale figurines on table
FortniteIRL
Prima Toys has launched the first wave of 16 figurines to collect from Fortnite Battle Royale in South Africa. Fortnite is a world-wide game phenomenon with 200 million players. Even this mom has the latest version of Battle Royale on my phone, and has been spawned many many times. As long as it means I am leveling up, I am happy. We can see the attraction, because there is always another way to survive, find the loot and build the fortifications. And of course the fighting. That's epic! Many gamers have been catapulted to celebrity-status fame. Fortnite has firmly entered the realm of pop culture to become a household name.

Unlocking potential for Millennials - there's a financial app for that

Panel discussion at Randlords
#UnlockedMe #Nedbank
The Eldest is part of the Millennial generation. The generation that demands things to be uncomplicated and at their fingertips. The generation who expects more, and gets more! The Nedbank Unlocked.Me offering promises to help them in this quest. Unlocked.Me is is the result of an intensive process of consultation with young people across the country.

I wish we had this offering when she was a student. We discovered to our horror that she was paying more for her banking services than I was paying at that time. She had a student account, and you would have thought that she would pay less for transactions, but NOT. It was much much more! We were also caught in the catch-22 of getting a student loan: We had to get money to register, but they only made the money available after we supplied them with the registration papers.

Lazy evening dinner with Big Korn Bites

Big Korn Bites with plates and cheese
Big Korn Bites bags - recipe
Last night was one of those nights. The week is far too long, the energy is low, and the inspiration even less. Luckily we remembered about Miss Fine's camping trip where they had an easy dinner with packets of chips and chicken nuggets. She was in charge of the instructions last night.

Creative inspiration from Big Magic, by Elizabeth Gilbert

Front cover of Big Magic in hand, by Elizabeth Gilbert
Big Magic - Book review
It's serendipity when you find a book that inspires you to the core. The writer of Eat Pray Love, Elizabeth Gilbert, takes us on her own journey of creativity. She argues that the creative process should not be a slave driver, but a passionate pursuit to create something more. It's not about the end product, but the process and internal gain itself!
