The toys for boys are very exciting this year! Prima Toys has some cool superheroes to check out!
I have already done a blog post about Prima Top Toys for Girls this season, and these are some of the most RAD toys for boys! I am sure the girls will also like to play with some, such as the Omnitrix device. See below!

Wordless Wednesday #259 - Superhero poses #graduation

She got the Superhero Cape!

We attended the graduation ceremony of The Student yesterday! She finally got the graduation cape and the hat, and she got her few seconds to shine on the stage!

It was a proud mom-moment, because it feels like we have achieved something as well!

I know I did not do any of the hard work, or worked through the nights, or helped her with any of the studies. (Only a little bit of research some times from my side...)

But we made it possible for her to study. (Cha-ching!! and I am only starting to work back the bursary...) There were times that we said we did not know how we are going to do it, but our focus will be on the completion of the studies. She also knew there was no do-over available! This was it!

And she did it!

I am very proud of her, and so glad that she has something to show for her hard work.
The speaker spoke about the importance of time yesterday: "The importance of a year is so much more appreciated by a student who has to re-do that one year!..."

The wonderful time at university she is having now, is coming to an end at the end of the year. I hope and I know that she is making the best of it! (So glad she is enjoying it!)

It was only the other day I complained about the initiation practices, and in the meantime they have abolished most of it!
We had some pep talks along the way to keep her going, and she also learnt valuable life lessons while studying.

But here we are! She is busy with a post-graduate diploma, and busy thinking about the next stages of life already!

And we are left with the question: "How did it get here so quickly!"

Well done, my girl!
Love you!

Spidergirl ready to save the world... or pushing the go-cart

Little Missy's school has a fundraising effort today with go-carts and theme dressing for each class. She is part of the Super Hero team!
This is the best we could come up with to look like Spidergirl.
There is a red t-shirt underneath.

Free-flying hair!

Without the mask: spider-face
She was feeling a bit exposed today when we arrived at school, because everybody was looking and commenting.

The mask did not stay on!

And this is the Super Heroes!

Super Heroes with their Batmobile

Evidently Spidergirl turned into Supergirl because her cape got torn!

In search of a Spider-girl costume

We spend a good deal of our Saturday searching for a Spider-girl costume. That is for a Superhero theme at school this coming Friday.
I was not even aware that Spider-girl is a superhero, but now I know!

I thought it would be easy going to the local China Mall, but we found (of course!) some of the other superheroes costumes, but not Spider-girl! And Little Missy was adamant: Spider-girl or nothing!

I could not even convince her to use the Batman mask we exchanged at McD's to become Batwoman, or to create her own Superhero! No! Spider-girl!
(I thought it was only our Teen that was difficult shopping with, but it seems we've got a match in Little Miss!)

After much searching we found a cape with spider webs, and a mask. We will dress her in black and red. She is happy with the outfit, and yesterday we were looking at videos on how to create Spider-girl make-up. We practised painting some spider webs and spiders on her face last night!

She is counting the sleeps to Friday!

Who would have thought that parenting includes shopping for Superhero costumes and practising make-up techniques which includes spiders and spider-webs?
