Jo Bean Coffee and Waffle House - another great spot for a coffee fix!
I always judge a coffee shop on it's cappuccinos!
Jo Bean Coffee and Waffle House, in an unassuming spot on Beyers Naude Drive, makes a great one!

27 Boxes
Shipping containers turned into a shopping experience at 27 Boxes in Melville, Johannesburg.
We had only one hour during lunch-time on Friday to check it out!
There is the cutest little shops with gifts, and clothes, and food...

Bambanani - Heaven for parents
I don't know why it has taken us so long to check out Bambanani in Melville, especially since we are always looking for new places to take the Toddler while we are able to enjoy our meals!
(You can only go so much to Papachinos, where they don't mind to be rude because they are so popular!)
The entrance does not look impressive, but when inside it looks calm and serene, and next time we will definitely try out the tapas while sitting inside.
We tried the outdoor area underneath the trees, where there are a wide variety of play areas for the kids. I am amazed at how much they have packed into the small area. There are balls, and climbing equipment for the older kids. Underneath the patio is a whole world of play rooms, such as a fully equipped play kitchen.
There are child minders who also look after the little ones.
And they make a great cuppa! We are definitely going back!

Skinny Cappuccino at Woollies |
Not something to complain at all, you would say? Proving my point!
I am looking forward to the weekend. It started well already yesterday with a free meal at Woollies Campus Square! They forgot about our lunch-time order last week, and invited us back again this week! They score tops for following up on complaints, and top on their coffee and harvest table! Woollies, you are definitely forgiven!
Hubby figured out how to take care the sheet cycling of our toddler last night. He picked her up while she was fighting him, saying she wants her Mama, and cocooned her into her blankets. That sorted the open sleeping for most of last night!
He came back down the stairs and told me: “Sometimes fathers are also worth something! We can also do good parenting!”
Of course! I have never thought otherwise!
I could not have done it without you! (Thank you! Thank you, Dries!)
Best of all for the end of this week: I am featured as a Mommalicious Mommy Blogger and had to answer a couple of questions! I love checking in to Mommalicious Mammas active page to see what all mommies are up to, and sometimes to ask a question as well.
I could even sent one of my favourite bloggers, Mama Poekie, who blogs at Authentic Parenting, to the website to ask for advice about gynecologists in Cape Town. She is going to come from the Congo for the check-ups and birth!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
What are you up to? What are you drinking?

Cherry on Top Coffee Shop
I was invited to a breakfast at a lovely place on Saturday morning: Cherry on Top. It is situated in suburban Kenmare, on the West Rand, in Krugersdorp. The photos tell some of the story. A house and gardens have been transformed into a picturesque setting for a memorable meeting place with friends and family.
We had egg-and-bacon baskets, which look like beautiful arrangements, and afterwards we had mouth-watering cake! I can only attest for these two items on the menu... It is divine!
It is a great place to take the little ones.
There are so many great places on our side of the world... I am going back to look at the menu again!
