Peace Concert - what a surprise!

When do you still get a concert with great names for free? If it sounds too good to be true...?

Well, it wasn't! It was amazing!

The Peace Concert stems from an independent organization Peace Starts that promotes International Day of Peace on 21 September. The tickets are for free. All you need to do is sign up for it. (Watch out for this next year!) It is really worth it!

It was held at the beautiful Heia Safari, and we were welcomed by buck and giraffe driving into the ranch. (We will definitely be coming back here!)

The music was superb, with  Josie Field, WonderBOOM, Prime Circle and Andra being some of my favourites!

The morning started off being chilly, but we could not do without an umbrella. Hubby drove back to fetch ours.

We explored a little near the dam...

It was a lovely summer day! Hot!

Now Little Missy can't complain we don't take her to concerts!
She had a great time listening to the music picking up rocks!

Joy for 2014

We had a great holiday season, and it was awesome to enjoy summer with the family. The lazy days of summer gave us a whole lot of breaths for 2014.

I can't say that I am super excited going back to work, but I have a feeling it is going to be a great year!

I haven't made a list this year!
I will just keep on saying yes to opportunities coming my way.
I have learnt that one opportunity creates another opportunity!

And I will embrace "JOY" for this year!
My previous word was peace, and I became aware of how much peace and joy are used in the same sentence!

What is the meaning of life if we can't have joy in our lives?

I hope you had a super ending to 2013, and that your 2014 will be filled with Joy!

En-joy 2014! (Big smile!)

World Peace

"I want World Peace!"

;-) Of course!

But the only place I can make it happen is within myself, and around me!

I can happily say that I have peace in my life, and that my family and my home is a place of peace.
With great thanks to a wonderful Hubby who makes this possible as well!

I love a word for carrying so much meaning.

Peace is a state of being.
Peace is having equilibrium.
Peace is an atmosphere that permeates its surroundings.
Peace is the serenity in relationships.
Peace is the place we go to after a busy day.
Peace is the calm within calamity.
Peace is a blessing  I can share.

Peace is a CHOICE!

I got this word for my birthday last year, and I love looking at it everyday!

Peace is my word for 2013!

The year has already ticked off one month, but eleven months are still a long way to go.
I am still feeling that this year has gotten out of the starting block without me, but I am catching up...

Peace!

What is your word for this year?

33 months on World Peace Day

The Toddler was 33 months on World Peace Day yesterday. #worldpeaceday

It is a day in recognition of a world favouring peace, and for once not a day AGAINST something! We should definitely have more of these!

Days to call Peace to the fore in the World, for our children!

I saw this cute dress with the peace sign & "Peace" written on it at A-C-Kermans yesterday, and could not resist.

To get her to stand still for a photo is not always possible...

The Teen even tried taking a picture through a window...
Peace!
33 months is all busy and talkative and major Tantrums.
The tantrums are even more forced with louder theatrics.
And to get the off button for sleep stays a major issue!

But, she cannot get cuter than this! We are sure of it! ;-)
