Emerge
It is Week Two of the Weekly Parenting Poetry Workshop by Lauren Wayne over at Hobo Mama. The theme this week was emerge.
emerge
your sweet little eyes
with your innocent mouth
dependent
little being
who are you?
---
growing so quickly
showing us your big feet
and big hands
now four
so proud
of all your achievements
independent
all-ready
emerging
You

Wow you are seriously good at this
ReplyDelete"showing us your big hands & feet" <-- I love this line - exactly what toddlers are like! :)
ReplyDeleteoh, how I love this one! It's nice to be able to really read one poem. I just can't let go of doing one every day...
ReplyDeleteI love the use of "all-ready"... love it.
I wrote about my four year old leaving babyhood behind, too. It happened so fast. I don't think I'm over it yet.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the direction you've taken here! These last lines:
ReplyDelete"independent
all-ready
emerging
You"
I just love that. The whole idea of getting to watch our children unfold and develop before us.
